This book contains no bad language or naked ladies but rather a heady discussion of the relationship between comics and the political and cultural landscape of Mexico. The author does a convincing job of connecting the dots between social movements and comic books. As political climates change, Rubenstein argues, so do the comics. Interesting read, but sparsely illustrated. Recommended for anyone with an interest in Mexican politics and culture, but not for Mexican comic book fans.
